Aston Villa’s inability to beat Middlesbrough over 90 minutes on Tuesday scuppered our Tasty Treble and Home Banker selections. But this weekend sees Manchester United and Chelsea go at it in the FA Cup final and we fancy the Red Devils to emerge victorious at Wembley.

The Home Banker
Saturday’s FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United has the potential to sizzle, and the bookmakers are struggling to spilt the teams. This time last year the Blues were favourites to win at Wembley, only to throw in a stinker in a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, and the feeling is they could lose out again against a United side who finished 11 points ahead of them in the Premier League. Chelsea looked terrible in losing 3-0 to Newcastle last Sunday and their form has been so erratic this season. The Red Devils have been workmanlike rather than spectacular this term, but it’s interesting to note they only lost two of 10 matches against teams in the top six.
The Tasty Treble
Celtic face Motherwell on Saturday as they attempt to nail down a second consecutive domestic treble and the Hoops look worth a punt at 4/5 to win the Scottish FA Cup final by more than a goal. Motherwell have not registered a win against Celtic in any of their last 10 meetings, slipping to 4-1, 5-0 and 7-0 defeats during that time. As stated, Manchester United (17/10) look a solid call to beat Chelsea on Saturday especially when you consider the fact that Jose Mourinho has never lost a cup final on UK shores. Finally anyone who watched the first leg (who isn’t a die hard Coventry fan) will concur that Notts Country look good things at 7/4 to beat the Sky Blues in their League Two playoff second leg on Friday. The Magpies were excellent in that first game and have scored 43 goals on home soil this season.
Selection: £3 on the treble at 12.36/1 with bet365.
The Euro Wager
Barcelona won’t be finishing their La Liga campaign unbeaten but they can round off a truly dominant domestic campaign by easing past Real Sociedad. You could have got odds of 250/1 for them to lose 5-4 to Levante last week but we are happy to take 12/1 about a 4-0 result at Camp Nou on Sunday.
Selection: £2 on Barcelona to win 4-0 at 12/1 with bet365.

The Wildcard Tip
Romelu Lukaku has been sidelined with an ankle injury picked up in a win over Arsenal at the end of last month, but looks set to win his Wembley fitness battle and can’t be ignored at 11/2 to score first against Chelsea. Blues playmaker Eden Hazard is the 9/2 favourite to score first, but preference is for Lukaku, who has scored 27 times in 50 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side this season and who was on target as United beat Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford back in February.
Selection: £2 on Lukaku to score first at 11/2 with bet365.
The Bookie Basher
Chelsea have struggled this season and there are plenty who feel their decision to sell Nemanja Matic to Manchester United last summer has been a big reason for their current malaise. The Serbian was snapped up for £40m by Jose Mourinho and Chelsea have not been able to replace him or restore the balance he brought to their side. Matic is a 25/1 shout to be named Man of the Match at Wembley and that looks a big price for a player who has been excellent for Mourinho this season and who could be out to prove a point.
